Super Quick Update

WOW! It's been forever since I blogged. Lots of changes!!!! I'm in a hurry as usual, but will try to give a quick run down of recent events.

They closed our office down at the end of April :( SUCKED!! Got a new job in June. Back to the office 5 days a week :( I miss my work at home days with my baby boy sooooo much! I like the job pretty good so far. EXCELLENT benefits and really nice people. TONS of vacation time so that's a plus!

Bama started preschool in August. Thankfully all the teachers go to our church so he was already famaliar with them. He seems to love it and I do too. They are wonderful! I feel like he is learning sooo much there! He even naps there...which was my biggest fear. I have to drop him off super early so that sucks and he doesn't like getting up and getting dressed that early.

Went to the beach Aug 13-16. Had a fantastic time! 3 nights is nowhere near enough time though! We chilled on the beach in the mornings, came in and took naps, went out after naptime, stayed out late, slept late...repeat. We went to the Track and Fudpuckers and to Destin Commons shopping. My favorite thing of the whole trip was the last night we went out on the beach around 10:30 p.m. We laid down a blanket and went strolling on the beach looking at sand crabs. Then we came back and sat down on our blanket and just chilled. Perfect little family moment!

Bama is an absolutely awesome child. I love him so much! He gets sweeter and sweeter everyday! He's fully potty trained now (even at nighttime). He has to get up to pee and/or poop like 10 times before he finally stays in bed. Each time he has to go tell daddy nite nite or he forgot to give daddy a kiss or he forgot to give daddy a hug or usually all 3 of those, lol. It annoys the piss out of me, but I can't help but laugh most the time. He got his spiderman bike for his bday and that is his favorite thing to do these days. We still play "footdown" everynight for "2 minutes" before bed. He fell not the night before we left for the beach and pushed one of his front teeth back :( Now he just has one that kinda sticks out, lol. He's counting to 10 and singing his ABC's...kinda, lol! He's starting to recognize some letters and numbers. He's a smart little booger. I'm amazed at the stuff he knows these days. He's still totally obsessed with Monster Trucks and race cars and motorcycles. He chooses to watch those anyday over cartoons. Fine by me! He likes watching football as well. We took him to his first football game the other day. LCHS v/s BHS. He LOVED it! Maybe more than anything we have ever taken him to do before. He just sat there and clapped.

And the bad news...we went for his 3-year well baby check-up 3 weeks ago. He weighs 32 Lbs. and is 37" tall. The doctor checked his ankle tendons again since he's still walking on his tip toes. Said they were fine...still doing it out of habit. Then he checked his leg reflexes. He asked if the spine doc in Huntsville that they sent us to last year said anything about them. I said no. He pulled the report and said last year they were a +2 which is normal. Now they are +4...not normal. He said they were WAY oversensitive and he thought we should have an MRI...that he could possibly have a tethered spinal cord!!!! If he does, he would require MAJOR back surgery to untether it. The MRI is scheduled for this coming Tues (Sept. 8). I'm scared! I don't feel there is anything wrong with him, but just the thought that something could be is terrifying! I'm worried about the MRI as well. They will sedate him and the MRI will last about 1-1/2 hours. He'll have to have an IV which will suck. He won't remember anything about the MRI though. I just pray he's totally healthy.

Ok, that's a real quick update with lots of random thoughts! I gotta hurry and get a shower now and get in bed! I have to be at my new job at 7:30 a.m....can't stay up all night like I use to. Dude I miss my old job....REALLLLLLY BAD!!!!!!!!!!
